How does the built-in motorised canopy of a Nox outdoor kitchens kitchen work?
The canopy is part of the kitchen's stainless steel structure: closed, it encloses the worktop and the appliances; opened by motorised control, it frees the worktop. Overall height in the catalogue: 235 cm; height with the roof open not yet published, confirmed on quotation. Day to day, this changes three things:
- The barbecue, the fridge and the sink stay under cover when you are not cooking, winter included.
- No structure to build: the kitchen arrives pre-assembled in one piece and is lifted into place by crane in one day.

It depends on the footprint. Article R421-9 of the French town planning code (version in force since 16 November 2024, checked on legifrance.gouv.fr on 22/09/2026) requires a prior declaration for new constructions whose footprint or floor area exceeds 5 m² without exceeding 20 m², with a height of 12 m or less; above 20 m², planning permission is required. Below 5 m² and outside protected areas, this text requires no formality.

The Nox outdoor kitchens kitchen leaves pre-assembled in one piece, after inspection in the workshop, and is lifted into place by crane in one day. A level, load-bearing floor, a water supply, a drain and a power supply, provided by the customer, are all that is needed.
